White Space.....2
365 Cards Day 214 - White Space
My heart always lurches when I see this challenge theme, but I think I'm at last getting my head round it.
So This time I went for less is more.
The idea for the card is from a Clean and Simple sketch I saw some time ago and pencilled into my book.
The stamped flowers are Hero Arts 'Real Carnation'
Inks - Adirondack 'Lettuce' and 'Wild Plum'
Sentiment stamp by Stampology
Ink used - Versafine Onyx Black
I popped in a little bit of Adi. 'wild plum' into the heart and flower with a Marvy Le Plume Blender pen.
Lush magenta and black ribbon from my stash....voila! job done.
Who would believe that that is another whole month of cards done. :O

Don't Ask!!!
365 Cards Day 213~ In Pieces - we were provided with set pieces of a pumpkin to download and do with what we will.
This was definitely a hit and miss affair...and more miss than hit.
Trying to piece my bits of coloured paper onto the A4 sheet to go into the printer was a hoot! then...doh!!! I ended up with a green pumpkin and orange leaf..lol!!..so had even smaller bits to play around with...hence my pumpkin looking as it does - lid up!!! My 2 orange pieces would not make a whole pumpkin.
The spider paper is a download, which may be Pink Petticoat, not 100% sure. The bats are out of a pkt of table sprinkles.
Thanks for giving my grey matter a good stir today :D

On The Fringes
This is the challenge at 365 Cards Day 212 and the fringe has to be added to 2 sides of the card.
Time to go rummaging for more ancient stash in the nether regions of my craft space and found just the thing in this eyelash fibre which must be about 4 years old - I have a plastic container full of all manner of colour and variety of these fibres...remember they used to be big on cards. As I've said before..'throw nothing out, me!'
So that fringing was the starting point for my card.
Papers - Basic Grey....loose sheets so not sure which pad they are out of
Pocket tag and 'dream' embellishment by Kelly Panacci
Word popped onto the tag - from a downloaded sheet by Lisa's Altered Art

Bookmark 1
Made this bookmark over the weekend for the challenge over at Passion for Promarkers - Emerald & Marine and not a card.
I intend to make a few for Christmas gifts.
It's not awesome but I am sure it will keep someone's place in their book handy to find.
The image is a download from BeeCrafty which I thought perfect for this.
I coloured using the challenge colours plus :- Cool Aqua, Ivory, Vanilla, Pastel Pink, Amethyst, Satin, Apple, Meadow Green, Royal Blue, Sky Blue and Cool Grey 1. It's amazing how many colours you get to use on something which looks to be quite similar in shading.
The Wording is by HOTP
The paper on the back is Kay & Co 'Hopscotch'
Sentiment stamp on the back by Papercraft4you.
Stamped using Versafine Onyx Black
The wording says ' The Way to Know Life is to Love Many Things'
On completion I laminated it and punched a hole in the top for a couple of bits of ribbon from my stash.

Tiny Tartan
Another Christmas card made, I could be on a roll here.
This time it is for
Daring Cardmakers - Tartan it Up
Stamp Something - Favourite Sketch
This is one of my favourite Clean & Simple sketches which I use over and over, it is quick and has just enough elements in it to make it look like you've spent more than 10 mins creating it...which it does when you're organised.
I hope there is enough tartan on it to comply with DC challenge..lol!!
Base Card - gorgeous pearly red stardream from Joanna Sheen
Stamp - Penny Black
Colouring medium - watercolour pencils
Glittery Stickles on pom pom and brim of cap and swirled on the floor for snow
Snowflake Nestie embossed white card
Strip of red white & green tartan paper from bits box

The start of another week and Super Sketchy Sunday at 365 Cards Day 211
I also chose the colours of Hot Pink, Dusky Pink & Ice Choc over at Colour Create 28 which could also include Pearls & Swirls

Joy!!
Definitely a good day, so Joy is the word today.
Some great challenges about and this card which I have been playing with today covers the following:-
365 Cards Day 210 - Try a Technique: Sanding
Chocoholics Friday Forum Challenge - Embossing
Secret Crafter #51 - Animal Antics
Apart from all the dust which made me very itchy I enjoyed this technique, sanding, after all that is what I have my Core'dinations cardstock for.
The one I used today is the Whitewash which has a wash of white over coloured card.
I ran it through my 'Bug' and embossed it with the 'Spots and Dots' folder.
The sketch I used is one of my favourite from Clean & Simple.
The image is a download from Willow Designs, I think, if this is incorrect I will change this. I really wish downloads printed the designer's name onto the sheet, it would help enormously. Pink Petticoat do it and I am thankful.
The other piece of embossed card is from my swapped stash, I really must buy myself the snowflake one I love it.
Joy sticker by Bo-Bunny Press.
Card Candy 'Winter Wishes' were used to embellish.
The base card is a beautiful rich pearly blue Stardream from Joanna Sheen.
The little strip of matte silver card from my bit box.
So there we are another week been and gone, and before we know it, it will be Christmas.
Joy to the world!!

Out of Africa
365 Cards Day 209 - It's a Jungle Out There
I had something in mind for this and did the best to try and put my idea onto card.
Paper - Basic Grey
Stamp - 'Africa' by Stampabilities
Grass and Leaves stamp - Clarity Stamps
Vine Stamp - Clarity Stamps
Sentiment Corner Stamp - Clarity Stamps...I think you will gather I love these
Inks - Adirondack 'Pesto' & 'Lettuce', Versafine Onyx Black
Base card from my stash
I wanted to play about with a direct to paper technique and masking to make bushes with my grass stamps and to have the zebra looking out....I sort of got there, but it was a bit laborious to cut the masks around the blades of grass and leaves.
It was hard to think how to put a sentiment on there, not sure I chose right
It's not a bad effort, even though I say so myself.

Recipe...
Well what a lovely time I've had tonight playing with my new stamp. I've also been doing lots of stamping for the Forum stamped image swap..phew!!!
So here is the card I have made tonight and it covers 2 challenges.
Whiff of Joy - Recipe...6 Brads/ 2 Flowers/ 3 P.P's
Quite a complicated sketch and took some working out.
The 6 brads consist of 2 giant button brads and 4 large plain round brads all from Eyelet Outlet
The 2 flowers are Making Memories Hydrangeas
the 3 P.P's are Kay & Co. 'Sparkley Sweet'
Additional items
Stamp - Whiff of Joy
Ribbon - SU 'Bashful Blue'
Colouring medium - PM's and Copics
Base card and sentiment from my stash
Spoonful of Sugar #70 - Given Sketch
DIY
365 Cards Day 207 - DIY: Patterned Paper.
To make your own background paper in any way you wish.
Over the last few weeks I have been following lovely Dawn McVey on her blog 'My Favorite Things' and she has been making the most wonderful backing papers using small patterned stamps and multi stamping them, so thought I would have a go. I just wish I had chosen a larger stamp. This tine one is by Clarity Stamps which I inked up in Versamark and stamped repeatedly turning the stamp each time until I got fed up :D..I then heat embossed with clear emb. powder.
I stamped a plain piece of white card with a Hero Arts dotty background stamp in dark pink and smudged it over with pink chalk then cut it with my Fiskars Border Punch. Over that I placed a piece of red card.
Embellished with a tag by Kelly Panacci, flat backed pearl by Papermania and piece of dotty organza ribbon from my stash.
All card is DCWV.
I didn't like the blank red to the left so stamped again in versamark twice, the other way up, you can now judge the size of the stamp, embossed with white emb. powder and surrounded it with a throwaway piece of pink card left after cutting out with my Nesties.
This is not very neat, there are a couple of bodged jobs, but the challenge is met.

A late card for me for 365 Cards Day 205. - Color Scheme
Instead of making my card early evening as I always do I had to take to my bed. Rather poorly with a tummy complaint I have :(...I would definitely have preferred crafting...eeeewwww!!!!!
So for this lovely colour combo I chose papers from Basic Grey 'Offbeat' and 'Indian Summer'
I chose a great sketch from Sketch Saturday, always a good starting point.
The great image is a download from Bee Crafty
I coloured in with PM's Pumpkin, Berry Red, Canary, Emerald, Raw Sienna and Cool Grey.
The ribbon is SU 'Tempting Turquoise'
The tag, brads, base card and gem flowers from my stash.
Off to catch up on todays>>>>>>>>>

Snowflakes in September
Our Forum had a card kit swap and I used all the bits from Looby to make this card and thought this would be lovely to put in for the challenge over at Allsorts 19 as this was the theme
So I am unable to list the ingredients used, sorry.
All I can tell you is that I used ProMarkers to colour and Doodlebug Sugar Coating on the hat and pom pom.
Autumn
My favourite time of the year, the wonderful colours, the smells, the bird song changes and everything has a golden glow and mellow fruitfullness about it.
So I got this great download which is so cute. I have looked and can't see where it's from, sorry.
I used PM's to colour the image
The papers are from a new set of My Mind's Eye 'Bloom & Grow'
The card id DCWV
The frame is the offcut when I have cut out a Nestie oval, don't throw anything away me.
The leaf embellies, sticky letters and base card are from my stash
The great sketch is from Friday Sketchers 70 and will also be great for the Forum September Comp. which is Autumn...what else!

Sunday Lovely Sunday
The first card today is for 365 Cards Day 204 - Super Sketchy Sunday
Here we are again the start of another week.
At first I thought oh! no!! an oval card, but then thought again and opted for an oval shape on a usual A5.
This got rid of lots of bits and bobs in my box, I love that.
I just cut and embossed 2 new ovals in my 'Bug' and the image is a download from Pink Petticoat, which I coloured with Sakura Gel pens.
I added a single piece of card candy for balance.
and the 2nd card is for Crafty Creations #33 - Coffee or Tea
I had one set of these great images & sentiments left that a forum buddy sent me, aren't they great.
I chose Basic Grey papers and some flat backed pearls that looked like coffee beans, well if you half shut your eyes...lol!!
So that's me for today. I have a lot of stamping to do for a stamped image swap for the forum and 3 cards to make from a card kit swap, so busy, busy, busy.
Angels....
What a lovely day today, so my Angels have certainly made their presence felt.
My son took a shoebox of my cards back home with him as he thought it a waste to do nothing with them. He found a little craft shop and the chap in there thought they were fabulous and has bought them. Apart from about 5 others, I have never sold any cards, I just put them all in a box. So if these sell he will want me to send more, so I feel blessed as things are pretty tight at the moment.
Therefore this card is very apt for today.
365 Cards Day 203 - 'Feeling Lucky' - a symbol of luck to be put on your card.
I don't hold with the idea of luck as it isn't really the way I believe.
But this symbol, a caring, guardian spirit - an Angel, I am sure is perfectly acceptable for this challenge.
The paper used is out of my other new Basic Grey Pad 'Eskimo Spirit', I love it.
I cut and embossed the curved rectangle Nesties in my 'Bug' and used the off-cut as a frame under the label which I raised on dimensionals. The beautiful sentiment stamp was a cheap misc. find on eBay - where else...you can get these so cheap. I edged the white frame with my Gold Leafing Pen.
The gold card, gold satin ribbon and little bead Angel are all out of my stash.
I am almost sure this card would be very fitting for Secret Crafter #50 - One For The Girls, because they're all little angels, aren't they?

Once Upon a Time....
365 Cards Day 202 - 'Once Upon A Time...' to draw inspiration for a card from a Fairy Tale you love.
Mine being Red Riding Hood.
I used my fabulous red Stardream card from Joanna Sheen for the base
I used papers from my brand new Basic Grey pad 'Indian Summer' it's so lush.
The white scalloped edge is by Bazzill and reminded me of the wolf's teeth.
The sentiment is by Reminisce.
I thought this would also do for Stamptacular Sunday 24 so used their sketch, but think I may need to stamp something for that challenge so this doesn't fit after all.

One for the Teenager
Great sketch at Card Patterns 32 and a great theme at Secret Crafter 49
put the two together and I came up with this card.
I didn't have a teenage boy stamp so had to Google an image.
This was coloured with a mix of PM's and Copics.
The papers are Papermania 'For Him' and the arrows are cut from a piece too.
The rub on is by Paper Studio...et voila!!!

One, two....
365 Cards Day 201 - One, Two Buckle My Shoe The card to obviously feature shoes.
This will also fit CRAFT Challenge #17 - Pink & Brown
Now as I have already recently done two cards with my two shoe stamps I thought I better google something, and this image is just what I had in mind. I sang this Nursery Rhyme to my children all those years back and actually remembered every line of it when I said it to myself today....it's just my short term memory that is shot at lol!!
I actually coloured the shirt on the image a lovely pink with a Copic pen but it hasn't scanned.
The words are a mix of Tim Holtz sticker, and Sissex & Urban Lily Rub-ons.
Misc. paper and base card from my stash.
