Gingham Pants

I think this has been the hardest card that I have done for 365 Cards
Day 195 - Pretty Pattern was to have an item of clothing in gingham.
I went through my stash of stamps and found this one which was free on the front of Craft Stamper years ago and I'd never used it.
I managed to find a tiny piece of gingham paper after ages of looking and after stamping onto the gingham I came to a full stop...what the heck to do with 2 pairs of gingham men's pants....the mind boggles!!!
I fiddled and faffed about for ages with ideas and sketches and placement of 'stuff' and finally reverted back to a tried and tested sketch from Clean & Simple which I've used times over. The buttons are Hero Arts and I created the sentiment in Word.
So there you go folks, phew!! I'm off to my bed with a cup of cocoa and might just manage a couple of pages of my book (The Devil Wears Prada)...I know, I'm playing catch-up, night night >>>>>>>>>

Shape Up!

365 Cards - Day 165
A star must be the dominant shape on the card.
So using a star stamp, star spangled ribbon and paper and a star charm says I did the challenge. :)
The stamp was an old freebie off Craft Stamper magazine and I stamped it 3 times with Adirondack 'Red Pepper' and decoupaged different elements cut from each stamping.
The papers are HOTP. I was being quite brave here using pink and red and I distressed the edges of the red star paper and this is the first time I have done this. I used a Quik Unpick out of my sewing box. A tip I picked up from somewhere. The pink paper I cut and embossed with one of my Nestie Labels
I did add glitter, although it isn't a compulsory element. The top star has Stickles 'Sequins' added to it.
All other bits and bobs are out of my stash.
The only card I have made today, sadly, as my back is particularly bad because I went shopping.....hey ho!!!

Music and Dance

This was the title of this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge and was really pleased as I have had this image from a swap for years and never used it. So this was just perfect. The image was coloured with Sakura gel pens mounted on various shades of Bazzill cardstock. The stamped image in the Nestie scalloped circle was a freebie with a very old Craft Stamper magazine. The brads were from my stash. The very faint stamped image on the middle back panel was a stamp by Anna Griffin All Night Media...a huge music score background stamp. I stamped it in Adirondack 'Rust'.
