White Space.....2

365 Cards Day 214 - White Space
My heart always lurches when I see this challenge theme, but I think I'm at last getting my head round it.
So This time I went for less is more.
The idea for the card is from a Clean and Simple sketch I saw some time ago and pencilled into my book.
The stamped flowers are Hero Arts 'Real Carnation'
Inks - Adirondack 'Lettuce' and 'Wild Plum'
Sentiment stamp by Stampology
Ink used - Versafine Onyx Black
I popped in a little bit of Adi. 'wild plum' into the heart and flower with a Marvy Le Plume Blender pen.
Lush magenta and black ribbon from my stash....voila! job done.

Who would believe that that is another whole month of cards done. :O

Imagine This.........Bubbles!

365 Cards - Day 133

I've had a couple of stamps for so long unused I was so pleased to see this challenge that I could have broken out a bottle of bubbly lol!!
The Bubbles background and Sentiment stamps are by Clarity stamps.
The image stamp is a misc. um off eBay

I randomly stamped the bubbles using Versafine Onyx black, stamping three times per application to get varying shades.
Then I had fun filling in the bubbles with a variety of Stickles glues, Copics, Perfect Pearls and Marvy Le Plume pens. Unfortunatly the scan has bleached out some of the pastel colours.
I stamped the image using Colorbox Cats Eye Chalk and then mounted them both on black card.
A turquoise ribbon from my stash added the finishing touch.

Picture This......

365 Cards - Day 132
Is a picture that is to inspire our card

As it is late at night I chose not to tax my brain too much and just did the picture with my bits to hand.
Kraft card to suggest the wooden table.
The top of the cake is a scalloped oval Nestie.
Dark brown Marvy Le Plume pen to draw the looped icing.
just a few off cuts of coloured card for the candles.
Tear drop gems for the flames.
Silver ribbon
and a lovely silver metal sentiment.

Well that's me for today, night night all. xx

Sketch & Stash 12 meets 365 Cards 109

Lovely to be able to combine again as I would like to do as many challenges as possible. When blogs take time out to set these it seems rude to ignore them lol!!
So over at Sketch & Stash challenge 12 we have a super sketch to follow which always takes a lot of stress out of cardmaking, and the new stash I used was the great tree and bird stamp which I received off my 'Secret Sister' this month, bless her. xx ;-)
And
Over at 365 Cards Day 109 we have the colour scheme of
Green
Yellow
Orange
Brown and
Aqua
And it must be feminine, so no hardship there, then.
Loved this colour scheme and found the perfect papers, which are nearly always Basic Grey, am I an addict?...note the little bee in the top strip on the right...soooo cute!
So the ingredients for both cards are as follows:-
Papers - Basic Grey, Urban Prairie and loose oddments
Base card - Bazzill
Image stamps - Hero Arts 'Hello Tree'
To Ink stamps - Marvy Le Plume pens
Flowers - Prima
Ribbon and brads from my stash

Imagine This : Grass

This is today's theme - Day 104 - over at 365 Cards.
I remember doing this sort of card about 18 months ago, so delved into the dusty corners of my mind to retrieve as many bits as I could remember.
The card stock is from my stash...yes! blue & green should be seen :-)....and I cut the green piece with my Fiskars cutting wheel, not very cleverly.
The rubber stamp I used for the grass is a flourish by Dawn Bibby which I stamped in Adirondack 'Meadow'
The butterfly is by Funstamps which I stamped in Adirondack 'Red Pepper' and 'Ginger' adding misc. pearls in brown to the body and red to the centre of the wings.
The sentiment by Stampabilities was stamped in 'Meadow' too.
I added the flight path of the butterfly by hand with an 03 drawing pen and topped the edge of the grass bank with a green Marvy Le Plume pen.
Job done...:-)
That's enough for today, methinks, off for a cuppa and bed and read my book [Harry Potter]...Night-Night!!

Dragonfly for Day 99

So loved this sketch over at 365 Cards but may be too late to get my card in.
I love this blog and it's all Mandy's fault lol!!
We had to follow the Super Sketchy Sunday sketch and add a drogonfly.
The papers, dragonfly and little Bee are all Kay & co 'Daisy'.
The sentiment /flower stamp is Hero Arts.
I used Marvy Le Plume pens to ink the stamp
Rub-ons by Doodlebug 'Sew Easy'
2 Nestie label shapes cut and embossed and layered with dimensionals, the little window idea in the Nestie was from a wonderful blog called Amazing Paper Grace.
The lace and base card from my stash.
Thanks for looking.

Let's Get In Shape.....

...which happily didn't mean I had to do any exercise at all other than make a shaped card for Just Magnolia Wk 6 .....phew!!!!
You know my despair of getting circles right. The largest Nestie circle is too small for a fair sized card and my circle cutter somehow never meets when I get to the end of the circle...the blade moves too much and my conquering of a pair of compasses is laughable.
So...I used my Fiskars Circle Punch which I have forgotten the name of the design, sorry, and the template that comes with it for either 4" or 6" circle had to suffice for hand cutting the remaining circles with scissors. The inner circle of paper that Tilda stands on is die cut using my largest Nestie.
The lovely Tilda image which I had in my collection of swapped images was coloured using Marvy Le Plume pens. The papers were Basic Grey 'Two Scoops' and 'Lilykate' Everything else from my stash.
And yes, girls, I used peel-off gold hinges to highlight the fold of the card.
I, once again, apologise for the terrible picture. I do not do well with a camera I'm afraid, it's either dull or bleached out. But with the abundance of embelies on the card I could not squash it in my scanner now, could I? :-)

Friday Sketchers Wk 53

Super sketch over at Friday Sketchers last week, I always feel I need a sketch to help my mojo along when it's flagging.
The papers are Basic Grey and I am guilty of removing them from a pad putting them to one side and then forgetting which pad they came out of. Don't you hate it when you do that!!!!
The sweet Sarah Kay design is a download from ColoringBook and coloured with Marvy Le Plume pens. Flowers, candy, charm, base card and circular sentiment from my stash.
The oval was cut using one of my scalloped oval Nesties.

One for the Boys....

Have managed to do this one for Just Christmas & Birthday Cards, being sketch 28 by Amanda.
I have only managed the birthday one as my Christmas stash and stamps are all away, but I daresay I will have to get a couple of bits out to do a card to justify this great blog.
I was going to combine this sketch with the theme of 'Games and Toys for Boys' over at Daring Cardmakers but have missed the deadline. The words Mice and Men come to mind!! lol!!
Ingredients :-
Boy Image - Stick Kids Footballer by Mambi
Football image - misc. stamp
Striped paper - misc. download
Text - Bo-Bunny Press sticker
Black card, white card, round stick-on 'doo-dads' and sticky backed grass from my stash

Tools :-
Marvy Le Plume pens
Sakura Gelly Roll pen - black glaze
Versafine Onyx Black
Cuttlebug embossing folder

Mojo Monday

Another great sketch over at Mojo Monday Challenge week 79.
Actually tried something new for this.
I cut and embossed a Nestabilities Curved Rectangle out of a piece of watercolour paper and using a Hero Arts 'Showy Blossom' stamp coloured straight to stamp with Marvy pens and sprayed with Moonglow Glitz Spritz and stamped onto the rectangle. Unfortunately the scan doesn't pick up the sparkle in the image but it looks great.
Everything was mounted up using Kay & Co. 'Hopscotch' papers and misc. white card.
Ribbon out of my stash and the dots were added with a pen along the scalloped edge.
The Love sentiment is a mini tag by Making Memories.

Food & Drink

Another great challenge at Cute Card Thursday and #50 was 'Food & Drink'/'Wine & Dine' and sponsored by Poppicrafts.
I used Papermania Collosal 'For Him' paper to cover blue card and positioned a scalloped piece of Bazzill in coffee creme onto the bottom half. A piece of navy blue Grosgrain ribbon was placed across the centre to cover the edge. A Penny Black image was coloured with Marvy Le Plume pens and cut out and embossed using Nestabilities Labels 1 and a blue piece of card cut using the largest Nestie. The rub-on sentiment was by Letraset. 2 round gems were added to each end of the ribbon and a heart shaped gem placed upside down on the flame of the candle.

Pink, Orange & Brown - Hot Chocolate!!

This was the theme over at Papertake Weekly Challenge and thoroughly enjoyed it. Out comes my greatly overlooked orange Bazzill card, why do so many peeps dispise the colour orange?, it is so vibrant. The Penny Black image which I had already coloured with Marvy Le Plume pens but did the balloon in vivid fuscia pink Sakura Gloss, was ideal. The papers, pink and brown were Basic Grey...what else? the ribbon American crafts and the gems out of my stash.
I have scored either side of the ribbon for a bit of added interest.
The sentiment stamp was out of a set of unmounted acrylics.

Animal Magic

I took the opportunity to combine two challenges in this card. The sketch was taken from Sketch Saturday #39 sponsored by Emma Lockley and the theme of Animal Magic was for Cute Card Thursday #49 sponsored by Craftaway.
The stamp used was by Penny Black, watercoloured with Marvy Le Plume pens. Oddments of Bazzill Basic cardstock and embellishments out of my stash along with Basic Grey paper were used to finish it off. I love to be able to use minute pieces of cardstock which I never throw away and I feel a greater sense of achievemant if I do so.

Mojo Monday Week 71

I am really enjoying using my new found mojo to do these sketches thanks to everyone involved.
The stamp used is by Hero Arts, the image of which I watercoloured using Marvy Le Plume Vintage colours, and the papers are all from old stash of Kay & Co. Satin ribbon out of my stash box too.
