Card for a Child....

....is the theme at Truly Scrumptiousbeing their challenge 5 with a sketch which got the old grey matter twitching.
All the papers used were from the 6 x 6 pad of Basic Grey 'Cupcake' they are gorgeous.
The cream card across the card was cut using my Fiskars wide scallop scissors
A Penny Black sticker was used for the image.
Everything else from my stash. It all seems a bit busy for me but I'm sure a child will love it. LOL!!

Lilac & Blue Flower Power

I haven't made a card for a challenge for a couple of days :-O so It's good when blogs are kind enough to let you combine.
So here is my take on the theme 'Lilac & Blue' over at Colour Create wk 9 with an optional extra of swirls and ribbon and a lovely sketch at Truly Scrumptious entitled Flower Power.
The ovals I cut in my 'Bug' using the scalloped ovals Large - the 2 outer ones being 1 size smaller than the main. On this I mounted the fabulous Tilda image which was coloured with watercolour pencils and the wings glittered with Stickles 'Icicle'.
The piece of lilac card across the centre was cut using my new Fiskars Scalloped border punch which is super. No more mis-cuts using the scissors.
I added a bit of bling to the sentiment by putting flat-backed pearls in place of the dots on the i's
Ingredients:-
Card - Lilac Stardream, blue Bazzill
Paper - free download from DoCrafts
Flowers - Prima, the blue ones being 'Larkspur'
Sentiment - printed off using Word
Image, Ribbon, Brads and flat-backed pearls from my stash

Family Affair.....

Have managed to combine another couple of challenge blogs for this card. The title of the post is the theme over at Cute Card Thursday, being their Challenge 53...a card for any family member. It worked in well with the lovely sketch over at Truly Scrumptious Challenge 3 with the added element of something shiney or sparkly.
This is the first time I've used this new Sugar Nellie stamp, isn't she cute. I coloured her with PM's and just cut the bottom half of the stamped image close to the outline and placed her sitting on top of the piece of purple card which was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The shiny element was the 4 gem/metal brads added at the corners. The paper and sentiment were from free downloads and the ribbon and flower were from my stash.
