Blue Christmas

Not much going on in my little part of the world.
Weather is dreary and my purse is empty after getting my car repaired to get it through it's MOT...these things are sent to try us.
I did manage one card though and it is a blue Christmas card to go with my mood.
I used the great sketch from Sketch and Stash challenge 21
and if I'm not too late this will fit in perfectly with Crafty Creations 37 - Blue ~~( Too Late :(  )

Stamp Something - Bling It Something

I dug out all my old Christmas papers from last year and I refuse to buy anymore until these are all used up.
The new stash are the die cut snowflakes the, large one I covered in Doodlebug Sugar Coating glitter, and the snowflake stamp by Dawn Bibby which I stamped onto the faux silk paper which I made for another challenge somewhere ??? I also added glitter to this before the glue dried and it is lovely and sparkley.
Denim by Adirondack was used to stamp the snowflake.

Let's hope I can get a few more made today eh???

WooHoo!!...2nd Prize!!

I am really chuffed to get 2nd prize in our forum monthly competition.
This month it was to get your Christmas stash out :O and do a card with snowflakes on.
All my Christmas stash is in 2 drawers in the base of the bed, but was still a struggle trying to manoevre in what little space I have to actually open them and rummage for what I needed without making too much mess.
The sentiment stamp is by Dawn Bibby
The spotty organza ribbon was sent to me by forum buddy Pat
The 'Let It Snow' sentiment was made using my Dymo
The base card, snowflake and snowflake eyelets are out of my stash
and
The piece of snowy glitterery and embossed card was cut from a received bought card last year...see, more recycling. :)

Imagine This : Grass

This is today's theme - Day 104 - over at 365 Cards.
I remember doing this sort of card about 18 months ago, so delved into the dusty corners of my mind to retrieve as many bits as I could remember.
The card stock is from my stash...yes! blue & green should be seen :-)....and I cut the green piece with my Fiskars cutting wheel, not very cleverly.
The rubber stamp I used for the grass is a flourish by Dawn Bibby which I stamped in Adirondack 'Meadow'
The butterfly is by Funstamps which I stamped in Adirondack 'Red Pepper' and 'Ginger' adding misc. pearls in brown to the body and red to the centre of the wings.
The sentiment by Stampabilities was stamped in 'Meadow' too.
I added the flight path of the butterfly by hand with an 03 drawing pen and topped the edge of the grass bank with a green Marvy Le Plume pen.
Job done...:-)
That's enough for today, methinks, off for a cuppa and bed and read my book [Harry Potter]...Night-Night!!

Flowers say Hello

This weeks Mojo Monday wk 75 was a yummy sketch with lots going on which is what I like to keep me pondering.
The deep burgundy of the card dictated what else followed. The papers I used were Basic Grey and the sentiment stamp was Hero Arts. The lovely little flourish stamp is a Dawn Bibby design from Personal Impressions.

My First Tilda

After a wonderful stamped image swap on the forum, I just had to make my first Tilda card.
I do love these images they are so cute, but have yet to buy any myself. I have enough stamps to start a shop of my own, and so many as yet unused I cannot justify buying any more.
I watercoloured her and added Stickles Icicle to her wings.
The card blank is ages old from a Dawn Bibby pack on QVC.
The 'bloom' was cut using a Sissex die in my 'Bug' along with the embossed swirl card done in the 'Bug' too.
Flowers and gems from my stash.
