Busy Evening

I started my crafting today with something totally new - Scrapling!! Never heard of it before but Sarn on the Forum put it up as her Friday Challenge. I really enjoyed this new size and found the perfect little item to include on it which I have had for years. It is a print of a Victorian childs book - the cover and inside pages, so just had to cut it out assemble. I used a piece of ribbon around the whole thing to keep the book closed.
Embellishment - Stamp-It Australia 'Yesteryears'
Card paper and ribbon from my stash

The 2nd card was for Daring Cardmakers - Autumn Purple

I scanned it with the little card outside of the envelope
Patterned Paper - HOTP
Stickers - PSX
Button closure mini envelope - Laura Ashley
Base card - QVC
Pink Card & sentiment rubber stamp from my stash

The final card for today was for 365 Cards Day 223 - In the Shadows. To create a shadow effect.
This was hard as I didn't have what I wanted to create what I had in my mind. So after a couple of failed attempts this is the final offering.
Heron Stamp out of a grap bag
Adirondack 'Ginger' ink
Base card, ribbon and outline stickers from my stash.

Joy!!

Definitely a good day, so Joy is the word today.
Some great challenges about and this card which I have been playing with today covers the following:-
365 Cards Day 210 - Try a Technique: Sanding
Chocoholics Friday Forum Challenge - Embossing
Secret Crafter #51 - Animal Antics

Apart from all the dust which made me very itchy I enjoyed this technique, sanding, after all that is what I have my Core'dinations cardstock for.
The one I used today is the Whitewash which has a wash of white over coloured card.
I ran it through my 'Bug' and embossed it with the 'Spots and Dots' folder.
The sketch I used is one of my favourite from Clean & Simple.
The image is a download from Willow Designs, I think, if this is incorrect I will change this. I really wish downloads printed the designer's name onto the sheet, it would help enormously. Pink Petticoat do it and I am thankful.
The other piece of embossed card is from my swapped stash, I really must buy myself the snowflake one I love it.
Joy sticker by Bo-Bunny Press.
Card Candy 'Winter Wishes' were used to embellish.
The base card is a beautiful rich pearly blue Stardream from Joanna Sheen.
The little strip of matte silver card from my bit box.
So there we are another week been and gone, and before we know it, it will be Christmas.
Joy to the world!!

Snowflakes in September

Our Forum had a card kit swap and I used all the bits from Looby to make this card and thought this would be lovely to put in for the challenge over at Allsorts 19 as this was the theme
So I am unable to list the ingredients used, sorry.
All I can tell you is that I used ProMarkers to colour and Doodlebug Sugar Coating on the hat and pom pom.

Embossing adventure

I have been playing with embossing after reading somewhere that the Fiskars Texture Plates can be passed through the 'Bug'. Very successful too. So I have 6 different textured backgrounds to play with and can resist, just for a short while, buying any more Embossing Folders.
I have used a small piece of large dot embossed card in the middle of this card, such a change from Swiss Dots which I have done to death.
Ingredients:-
The papers - Basic Grey 'Sugared'.
The ribbon - SU 'More Mustard'
The lovely sentiment is a sticker by Chatterbox.
Velvet brad - Doodlebug
Flowers - Making Memories
Metal spacer under brad - Beads Direct.
Flourish Outline Sticker

This card is for these challenges

You're Sweet

A fabulous sketch over at CCEE and a lovely colour combo over at Passion for Promarakers 16, so I had to combine the two.
The colours of the PM's to be used this week were Sandstone & Blue Pearl a lovely duo. I also used Blossom/Rose Pink/Cool Grey 1/Cinnamon and Cornflower for depth (I hope) I'm not the greatest colourist.
The lovely image was sent to me by our Secret Fairy Godmother on the forum, she's good like that :)...she blesses peeps over and over.
The papers used were from the 6 x 6 pad from Kay & Co 'Hydrangea Stripe' which picked up the colours beautifully. The base card and die cut circles were cut from Bazzill, the sentiment stamp, the gems and ribbon from my stash.
I just love these colours together I'm going to have to make another.

Well that was lucky....while I was in the middle of this the electricity cut out and I thought I had lost it all. Well done Blogger for saving it all. I think I have a dodgy microwave oven, well it is one of the originals from the 70's...do you think I need to replace it? ...lol!!!

Recycled

Chocoholic's Friday Challenge over on the forum was to have a recycled item on the card.
I went a bit better and apart from the base card everything is recycled. My favourite thing, so satisfying.
The brown paper is cut from an envelope Sarn (Chocoholic) had made when she sent me a beautiful friendship card. I punched out a flower and a circle too with this paper.
The lovely swirly paper is cut from an advertising letter as are the remaining punched circles for the flower.
The script strip is a paper off the gum strip off an envelope - check out the word Basildon lol!!
The button must be about 50 years old and is out of my mum's treasured button tin and is a really scuffed looking thing.
The thread is from my cotton throw which when I washed it unravelled at the edges so these were cut off and are proving very useful.
The sentiment is cut from the Thank You letter accompanying a CD I bought from Pink Petticoat.
So I definitley think this is my best recycling effort to date.
This card will also be great for the current ABC Challenge - C for Circles.
And
A Spoonful of Sugar 67 - Distressing as all edges of the flowers were distressed and the brown paper also

Fashion

This card was done for Chocoholic's Friday Challenge on my Crafting Forum
It just had to be anything to do with fashion and I have had this stamp for ages and it hasn't seen the light of day for a number of years....shameful.
It's by Crafting Pastimes
Sentiment stamp by Inkadinkadoo.
Both stamped with Versafine Onyx Black which is my favoured ink pad.
The image was coloured using PM's Pastel Yellow & Lime for the clothes and Raw Sienna for the hair and Copics Pinkish White & Blush for the flesh.
The floral paper is Basic Grey 'Scarlet's Letter' and the top piece of paper which I have cut around the swirl pattern is out of my bits box.
Ribbon DCWV
Base card from my stash
This image reminds me of the late fifties and I wore girls versions of this sort of style with lots of net petticoats underneath to make it stick out. You could get petties with hoops in and even a sponge foam one....lol!!...ah! those were the days. :)
