Flight of Fancy

I was using my new(to me) owl stamp from Magnolia Tilda and remembered there was a challenge somewhere for wings so hope I've made the deadline for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 'Flights of Fancy'.
I stamped the owl on a little piece of Basic Grey then coloured the eyes in with a white liner pen.
The branch stamp and seperate leave are all misc. in my drawer and I used several shades of Adirondack to stamp them up.
The heart sentiment is a download from Pink Petticoat.
Ribbon and butterfly charm from my stash.

Favourite Things

This card, last for today, covers 2 challenges.
Papertake Weekly Challenge - My Favourite Things
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - given sketch

The sketch by Jane was lovely and made a good base to fill the card with some of my favourite things being :-
Rubber stamps I have too many to think about and have grown to love these Magnolia Tilda, took a while to come to terms with no mouth. The lovely little PSX Pixie stamps which I have all 4 sets of are great little sentiments.
Versafine Black Onyx ink pad.
Basic Grey Papers, these being LilyKate and Urban Prairie
Pearls, gems and card candy love them all
Ribbon - this is a piece of real silk by Anna Griffin
Bazzill Card - you can't get any better in my opinion
Pink & Green - I love this colour combo and even though I keep venturing out into the big wide world of colour I come back to the delicate colours of an apple blossom tree.
So those apart from my cats are among my favourite things.

Let's Get In Shape.....

...which happily didn't mean I had to do any exercise at all other than make a shaped card for Just Magnolia Wk 6 .....phew!!!!
You know my despair of getting circles right. The largest Nestie circle is too small for a fair sized card and my circle cutter somehow never meets when I get to the end of the circle...the blade moves too much and my conquering of a pair of compasses is laughable.
So...I used my Fiskars Circle Punch which I have forgotten the name of the design, sorry, and the template that comes with it for either 4" or 6" circle had to suffice for hand cutting the remaining circles with scissors. The inner circle of paper that Tilda stands on is die cut using my largest Nestie.
The lovely Tilda image which I had in my collection of swapped images was coloured using Marvy Le Plume pens. The papers were Basic Grey 'Two Scoops' and 'Lilykate' Everything else from my stash.
And yes, girls, I used peel-off gold hinges to highlight the fold of the card.
I, once again, apologise for the terrible picture. I do not do well with a camera I'm afraid, it's either dull or bleached out. But with the abundance of embelies on the card I could not squash it in my scanner now, could I? :-)

Great to see this new challenge blog so just had to use one of my many images I have stowed away.

Sentiment - Clarity/Imagina stamp
Card, flowers, brads, ribbon and pearls from my stash

Tools used :-
Nestabilities - scalloped circle, plain circle, curved rectangle
Sakura gelly rol pens used as watercolour

Adirondack dye ink - 'Stonewashed'

Lilac & Blue Flower Power

I haven't made a card for a challenge for a couple of days :-O so It's good when blogs are kind enough to let you combine.
So here is my take on the theme 'Lilac & Blue' over at Colour Create wk 9 with an optional extra of swirls and ribbon and a lovely sketch at Truly Scrumptious entitled Flower Power.
The ovals I cut in my 'Bug' using the scalloped ovals Large - the 2 outer ones being 1 size smaller than the main. On this I mounted the fabulous Tilda image which was coloured with watercolour pencils and the wings glittered with Stickles 'Icicle'.
The piece of lilac card across the centre was cut using my new Fiskars Scalloped border punch which is super. No more mis-cuts using the scissors.
I added a bit of bling to the sentiment by putting flat-backed pearls in place of the dots on the i's
Ingredients:-
Card - Lilac Stardream, blue Bazzill
Paper - free download from DoCrafts
Flowers - Prima, the blue ones being 'Larkspur'
Sentiment - printed off using Word
Image, Ribbon, Brads and flat-backed pearls from my stash

Too Cute

Friday Sketchers 44 has a wonderful sketch this week by Beatrix, and the prize is sponsored by Pink Gem Designs.
A great sketch and one I enjoyed doing. The image is Tilda which was watercoloured. Papers are from Basic Grey pad 'Sultry'. The pink handmade paper scalloped paper deco border is by Craftime. Flowers are mostly Prima with a couple of Green Tara. The sentiment is a stamp by Stampabilities using Adirondack Meadow ink.
Ribbon, card, brads and flat-backed pearls from my stash. I just had to add the extra flower at the top didn't I? just felt it was too bottom heavy.

Friday Sketchers - Sketch No 37

Great sketch and first time I've used a Tilda image out of my image swap box. Everything used is old stash except the flower brads which I recently purchased from Eyelet Outlet..they had a brilliant sale. I sponged around the edge of the image with Adirondack Denim to soften the edge. Getting braver with my colours here.

My First Tilda

After a wonderful stamped image swap on the forum, I just had to make my first Tilda card.
I do love these images they are so cute, but have yet to buy any myself. I have enough stamps to start a shop of my own, and so many as yet unused I cannot justify buying any more.
I watercoloured her and added Stickles Icicle to her wings.
The card blank is ages old from a Dawn Bibby pack on QVC.
The 'bloom' was cut using a Sissex die in my 'Bug' along with the embossed swirl card done in the 'Bug' too.
Flowers and gems from my stash.
