Color Scheme

365 Cards Day 164 - To use given color scheme
Alarm, alarm, such busy colours.
Found some great papers in Basic Grey 'June Bug' and Kay & Co 'Patchwork' and some bits and bobs of chipboard and got to it.
I didn't have anything in the purpley colour so used my Aubergine PM and coloured some strips of card for the flower stems.
All the flowers were glittered with Doodlebug Sugar Coating in Lily White
The sticky sentiment is from a sheet of Reminisce 'Princess'

White Space.....

365 Cards...Day 123

Well a real challenge here as the space HAS to be left white. Hard for us crafters to do, I know.
I chose a white hammered card so there was interest in the white, I also turned the sketch as I felt the paper fitted better somehow...crafter's licence :D
I chose a piece of paper from the Kay & Co pad 'Sparkly Sweet' that had patterned corners, and for one corner I cut around the pattern to add interest...hope this isn't a cheat :/
The embellishments were the Kay & Co Grand Adhesions which match the paper fortunately, I just added a piece of ribbon to the tag.
I also cut out a butterfly from another paper out of the same pad and added it with some flat backed pearls for the body
Shadow caused by the bulkiness in my scanner

365 Cards Day 110 meets Papertake Weekly

Found another lovely sketch over at Papertake Weekly Challenge being Dawny's Sketch #17 which gave me the base for the great challenge at 365 Cards Day 110 which is a 'Masculine Card featuring Argyle pattern'
Took me ages to find my paper, but knew I had some somewhere.
My sister gave me a huge bag of 12" x 12" papers which she got from Costco and this is one of them.
Haven't got much in the way of stamps or stamped images for men but came upon this I had watercoloured with Marvey Le Plumes and oh! what a job trying to go over and over it with ProMarkers to try and get the colouring to go with the paper LOL!! I thought I was going to burst a blood vessel, because once something is 'the thing I need to use' it has to be right.
The base card is a burgundy leather look. The faux flap is pierced all along the edges but doesn't really show up and the great screw head brad is out of my stash.
The piece of 'paper' under the image is a metal look paper called 'Scrap Metal' . To finish it off I popped on a little sticker word by Kay & Co.
This turned out to be a saga, sorry, thanks for reading.

Papers - Kay & Co Hopscotch/ Basic Grey Urban Prairie
Sentiment stamp - PSX
Thanks for a quick look>>>>>>>>>>>>>>off to post it now lol!!

Butterfly Friend

Still catching up and this one is for Sketch Saturday #40 sponsored by The Craft Barn which was a great sketch with lots of thought needed. With so many papers going on I decided on a rather plain butterfly stamped image that I had in my stash of swaps, it looks as though it has been stamped in irridescent ink, maybe Brilliance. The papers were from a pad of K & Co. 'Roam' and the brown card is Basic Grey. The sentiment is Bo-Bunny Press. The flat backed pearls from my stash. Well at 1 minute past midnight I think it is time to call it a day. :-)

Something to Eat

Well it's sunday and I'm just doing my Penny Black Saturday Challenge #38. I always seem to be playing catch up.
Had quite a few PB food related stamped images so which to choose was the first decision to be made. Seeing as the DT had chosen some of my others I chose the cute little dog which I coloured using my Pro-markers. All papers used were from K & Co. Hopscotch pad. The bottom piece I cut with my Fiskars wide scallop scissors. Ribbon, tag, card and brads from my stash.

Friday Sketchers 40

Well my mojo went out for a walk a few days ago and has only just come back, half-heartedly at that. This was a lovely hand drawn sketch on Friday Sketchers and thought it would get my juices flowing again.
The papers used are Kay & Co Hopscotch, the stamp is by Inca and the metal sentiment embelishment is by Linda Maron Mod Designs.
Had quite a job cutting on the diagonal and trying to watch the snooker too. Lol!! but I have made the effort. :-)
Thanks Friday Sketchers for keeping me at it.
