Happy Hallowe'en

The end of another month and ever closer to the end of another year. Where does time go? Why do the days seem so much shorter when you are on the downward side of life's hill? so many questions, so little time...lol!!
Todays cards feature my favourite animal, The Cat, of which I have 3, but they, too, are on the same side of the hill as me, and Charlie even further down. I was up at 5.20 this morning cleaning an accident off the carpet, poor thing he sometimes loses the plot aswell as his bowel control..Ah! well!! that's life.
I digress, onto the cards.

3 into 1 will go!

I decided today that the only way I am going to catch up over at 365 Cards is to do 1 card to cover as many challenges as possible. So this card knocks off 3 of the challenges.
Day 232 - Super Sketchy Sunday - Given Sketch
Day 240 - Pin Up!...to add a pin and beads or safety pin
Day 241 - Put it on the List...A list to replace the sentiment.

Day 241 is the only one that is loosely interpreted. My list is the poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning ~ 'How do I love thee, Let me count the ways'...and then she goes on to LIST them. So hopefully this will pass.
Ingredients used.
Base card - Bazzill Bling
Papers - Linda Maron
Scalloped edgings, ribbon, Pearl Hat pin, gems from my stash.
Crafters chalk to smoosh around the edge of the scalloped card which was but through my 'Bug'
The poem was printed out using Word....phew just a couple behind now!

Apologies, as usual, for the poor scan, but you are used to me by now. :D

I don't have any favourite fabric or furnishing, I live very frugally. I do have this amazing huge painting on my wall though, it is about 6ft x 2.5 ft and is acrylic on canvas. I love it.
I managed to find some freebie downloaded paper which sort of reminds me of it.

Base Kraft card - SU
Ribbon from stash.
Day 239 - Super Sketchy Sunday

Monochrome Christmas

This was the challenge over at Allsorts Challenge 23, and as was pointed out it *doesn't* mean black & white but any colour where just the shades of one colour are used.

I had this beautiful stamped image sent to me in our forum SI swap and it was just crying out Black & White, so that is what I did.... ;)

Blue Christmas

Not much going on in my little part of the world.
Weather is dreary and my purse is empty after getting my car repaired to get it through it's MOT...these things are sent to try us.
I did manage one card though and it is a blue Christmas card to go with my mood.
I used the great sketch from Sketch and Stash challenge 21
and if I'm not too late this will fit in perfectly with Crafty Creations 37 - Blue ~~( Too Late :(  )

Stamp Something - Bling It Something

I dug out all my old Christmas papers from last year and I refuse to buy anymore until these are all used up.
The new stash are the die cut snowflakes the, large one I covered in Doodlebug Sugar Coating glitter, and the snowflake stamp by Dawn Bibby which I stamped onto the faux silk paper which I made for another challenge somewhere ??? I also added glitter to this before the glue dried and it is lovely and sparkley.
Denim by Adirondack was used to stamp the snowflake.

Let's hope I can get a few more made today eh???

Colour Scheme

365 Cards Day 229 - Colour Scheme

It took a while for me to find the colours for this challenge as they didn't show up on the 365 blog so had to blog hop to see if anyone had put them up.
I've had huge probs with viewing some peoples pics and it's driving me mad. It's such a shame when I cannot see what some have been up to all these weeks, but hey ho! that's Blogger for you or, maybe, my server???

This card was quickly put together for this challenge as I'm not in crafting mode.
The die cut and embossed cream card was sent to me along with a pile of other colours from a crafty buddy CarolAnn off a forum Wish.
I chalked the vines in green ans the owl in light brown, they just about show up in the scan.
Mounted on peach/apricot coloured card from my stash
The sentiment stamp by Stampendous was inked with Adirondack 'Butterscotch'
Gems added to the sentiment and owl's eyes.
Leaf embelishments from my stash to finish off for an autumn feel to the card.
If I'm not too late - which is my wont, this will also fit in with Secret Crafter #53 Autumn Colours and The Pink Elephant #36 - Fall
