365 Cards Day 266

 Color Me With This!
To colour your image but not to use markers...   :-O

Now this would be hard for a lot of people that have begun to rely on these for a more polished finish.  Guess what I dusted off........................my trusty Twinkling H2O's.  They haven't seen the light of day for at least a year.  So thanks again Pam, but there again....maybe not lol!! the shading is appalling, and my brush was the size of a pastry brush  Oops!

This is an ancient stamp too...1999! made by Uptown Rubber Stamps
2 strips of paper lace
1 strip of ribbon and a couple of outline sticker snowflakes finish it off.

365 Cards Day 264

Keep it to Yourself!
The front is supposed to convey the message inside.
Soooooo......

and the inside says.....

I think the image is Hero Arts, had it so long I don't remember.  I have just used chalks to give vague idea of colour and added a couple of maritime type charms and a star brad in the centre of the compass.
The greeting is a rub-on

Colour Scheme Challenge

365 Cards Day 262
is a colour scheme challenge

I found this so hard.  Nothing flowed I'm afraid.

Everything is out of my bits box even the odd stamped images which fortunately matched the colour scheme well.  Think they are Hero Arts.

Pantomime

Over at Winter Wonderland #24 the challenge was either the given sketch or Pantomime
Oh! I just had to do the latter.
It has been many a laong year since I've been to one, but manage to catch something on TV over the Christmas Season and I just love the slapstick humour.

This is such a wonderful drawing I found a few years ago on the net so don't know where from I'm afraid. These Ugly Sisters are just perfect.
A plain and simple card so as not to detract from the lovely artwork.
I used ProMarkers to colour.
I hand wrote the text which brings it into the here and now.
The velvet brads are by Doodlebug

Card Patterns sk 40

Went through loads of my stash before I found something for this 'Patch' challenge.  On this set of Daisy & Dandelion stickers, though,  were little baubles and things to hang on a tree, so I cut the little loop off the heart and made it into a patch for the dress, now my brain hurts....lol!!

Grass & Canary

Paper - mag freebie

Ribbon, gems and yellow card from my stash

I'm Hung Up........

That's the theme over at 365 Cards today.
It's Day 254 and being 'hung up' means to make an ornament of some kind
Well it just had to be Christmas didn't it.

(excuse all the marks, they are on the scanner glass :- / )

I used my trusty Fiskars Shapecutter and cut out a bauble from the Fiskars template.
The top of the bauble - the bit that hangs- has been cut in silver mirri card but does not show up well.
The bauble has been cut from red pearlised card.
a strip of HOTP paper went across the middle and either side of that I put a strip of Anita's sticky back embellished ribbon (so useful)
I stuck lots of flat backed pearls on the top and bottom of the bauble and punched out some wee snowflakes out of glitter card to go across the middle.
A satin bow finishes it off.
Job done.
I'm glad I managed to do today's challenge with my sadness today, it gave me something else to focus on.

A Sad Day

APRIL 2007

Today is a very sad day as I have had to say goodbye to my dear Charlie.
He had a tumour for some time but was able to hold his own with a good deal of help from his mummy, like bathing and mopping up, until this weekend which was terrible for the poor mite.
He was a good boy to the end and  he has had a brilliant 18 years of  life with me and his other furry friends.
He was a rescue kitten from the local Airbus factory  so was somewhat wary of men, but was a lovely cat to have around us girls.
I will miss him terribly.
Farewell my dear furry friend, have fun at the Rainbow Bridge with dear Monica, Eartha, Russell, Prudence  & Spike.

Friends...

A lovely sketch over at 365 Cards  it being Day 253 and Super Sketchy Sunday....yet again.

I am loving using Kraft card at the moment and find all colours go with it so well.

Faux stitching rub-ons - Doodlebug
Text Rub-on - DCWV
Other pieces of card from my bit box, the burgundy left over from my card a couple of days ago, the Duo one.

That's all I'm blogging today, I did a couple more but they leave a lot to be desired so may need a bit of TLC or rehashing.
Thanks for stopping by.

Busy, busy..........

Well I've sure found my mojo and have made 4 cards today and another half done, whoopee!!

365 Cards Day 252 - White Space ~~ a given sketch where the white space must be left blank

Always a hard challenge, as what crafter can resist putting 'stuff' into a white space.

Baubles Stamp - Clarity Stamps
Ink - Ink It Up Pigment
Glitter stars - Artwork
White Hammered Card, peel offs and gems from stash
*******
365 Cards Day 251 - Dream Duo, card using favourite 2 colours

I need to go to bed now and get over such a crafty output.  G'night, God Bless.

Thank You

I have been missing a short while as my mojo went awol too. So I took the opportunity to have a sort out and tidy up of my crafting space. Unlike a lot of you lovely crafty ladies out there, I do not have a room I just have a space in my bedroom with everything overflowing from every nook and cranny it can find, so does need some rearrangement on a very regular basis.

So onto the card I managed to finish last night but was unable to blog because of various gremlins around, leftover from Halloween I daresay.

This card started out as the one for
365 Cards Day 247 - Ad Inspired.........which was a beautiful pic of a thanksgiving wreath in wonderful autumnal colours as you can imagine.
As it is a give thanks card it fits 'thankfully' with the following challenges too.
Simon Says......Give Thanks
Crafty Cardmakers ch7 - Stamp Something using new or fogotten technique (doing my own decoupage is mine)
Pile It On - Thank You
Daring Cardmakers - Getting Krafty...to use Kraft card

Stamps - various mostly misc. but some from QVC
Kraft Card - Lakeland
Ink Pads - Adirondack in various colours
Raffia - out of gardening bag.....lol!!
Sentiment - good ol' faithful Peel-offs

Thanks for stopping by xx
