Orange, Green & Brown

This was the challenge over at Colour Create week 13, it also had to be a male card. Now don't we all struggle making male cards.
I had a sheet of vintage images and thought the dog was ideal for this, as I virtually have no stamps for a male.
Trying to keep the embelishment to a minimum was hard too, as I'm sure men don't like fussy cards.
Ingredients:-
Papers - Basic Grey 'Archaic'
Sentiment tag - Basic Grey Sublime
Base card, image, ribbon and charm from my stash
The buckle used was from an old cat collar...so a bit of recycling going on here too.

Shaped Card

This was the theme at Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge #29. And the perfect opportunity to use my big blooms to include the challenge over at Daring Cardmakers
The shaped card was one that our Sarn did for us on the forum and I didn't get round to doing more than fold the card...after a few tries, I might add.

So this was the perfect excuse to get this finished.....and I am pleased that I have.
Ingredients :-
Paper - Kay & Co Amy Butler Belle
Sentiment - one of a set of PSX garden theme stamps...years old
Everything else from my stash
Tools used :-

Recycle

At The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog this week the challenge #11 is - For Mom
(Happy Mother's Day or Happy Birthday Mom)and/or
Don't Throw That Away (Recycle, Reuse) So as I haven't got a mother now -Bless her - I chose the latter.
The only new or purchased items were the flower(newest purchase) and the pink card (had for about 6 years, a huge box).
The recycled items were:-
White and brown card from my bits box some of which are the backs of received bought cards.
The great spotty paper was free with a magazine my sister passed on to me.
The button is out of my dear old mum's button tin I inherited :-)
The thread through the button is a piece of cotton that had unravelled off my cotton throw with the fringe
and last but not least the sentiment is cut from a received bought card.

I really enjoyed doing this and I am a hoarder of 'useful' bits and bobs as us crafters are, I daresay.
The sketch Idea came from Clean & Simple 10 min. Monday

Karma Award

What a fabulous surprise and honour I have had this morning.

On viewing my blog comments the very talented Mandy has given me a Karma Award.

She makes some beautiful cards and is a very talented young lady and for her to give this award to me is an honour indeed, as I strive to keep up to speed with the ever changing face of cardmaking.

Thank you so very much Mandy, you have brought a smile to my face today!! xxx

So now, the really good bit is that I get to give this award to some other lovely people too.

The Rules

The Karma Award: These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers.

Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

I would like to pass this award onto the following people who are very talented crafters some being friends others having awesome blogs:

Amanda
Dawny P

Paula
Tab

The added extra element was to add distressing.
I don't know why but this took me hours all afternoon. lol!! I was up and down like the proverbial.
Unfortunately, due to the bulkiness of the ribbon, the scan is poor. I still haven't got the ability to do great photos like some of you artistic ladies. :-)
