Ad Inspired

365 Cards Day 216 - Ad Inspired
Always another toughy for me as when I look at an ad, I literally just see what is there. What I see does not evolve artistically. I do envy (naughty, I know) some people's ability to do that.
Soooooooo I have just taken the colours and the birds and played my hand.
The chick and sentiment stamps are Snag 'em Stamps by Imaginisce
Ink - Versafine
A small piece of Kay & co cream paper was used to stamp the birds on and I made the flowers stripey with my drawing pen to match one of the papers.
Flat backed pearls from my stash in turquoise added to the blooms to match the piece of DCWV off cut.
Offcuts of tan Bazzill and HOTP b & W dotty paper finish it off.
Large Woodware scallop punch used to punch around the sentiment.

Lace & Pearls

Penny Black 67 - Lace & Pearls
Along with the cute PB Hedgie stamped image which was coloured using watercolour pencils I used a couple of Die cut and embossed Nestie labels for mounting. For a change I used Lakeland's paper lace as I received some as a gift.
The sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts
The base card, paper and pearls from my stash.

Super Sketch Sunday 120

And the start of another week over at 365 Cards. I never thought I would manage another full week, but I have excelled myself. There again these challenges are so inspiring I'm not surprised really.
With hindsight this card would have been better for the 'frame' challenge, but hey ho! my brain didn't conjure it up then.
This was a super sketch and it made be bring out my old Fiskars oval cutter and I must say it does do perfect ovals. The 'Bug' (for me anyway) has a lot to answer for with us having neglected tools in our cupboards. LOL!!
The papers used were Basic Grey 'Sugared' and the the chipboard frame is off a sheet of Basic Grey 'Eva'.
The base card, flat backed mocha pearls, ribbon and sentiment tag are from my stash.

OT
Well it looks like we are in for hot, hot, hot weather here, so if it get's too bad I may be missing, lying under a fan with hands toooooo sticky to make cards....let's hope for the good weather anyway..WooHoo!!
