Happy Hallowe'en

The end of another month and ever closer to the end of another year. Where does time go? Why do the days seem so much shorter when you are on the downward side of life's hill? so many questions, so little time...lol!!
Todays cards feature my favourite animal, The Cat, of which I have 3, but they, too, are on the same side of the hill as me, and Charlie even further down. I was up at 5.20 this morning cleaning an accident off the carpet, poor thing he sometimes loses the plot aswell as his bowel control..Ah! well!! that's life.
I digress, onto the cards.
365 Cards Day 245 - 'It's a Matter of Inches', to use an inchie on your card or the inchie to be the card.

I made 3 inchies with images from a rubber stamp by Inca called 'Cat Blocks'
Stamped using Versafine Onyx Black
All card and paper are from the scrap box
Image coloured with ProMarker 'Sandstone'
Embellishments by Daisy Hill & ek Success
Border punch - Martha Stewart 'Embossed Petals'

Harvest

A late card for me for 365 Cards Day 205. - Color Scheme
Instead of making my card early evening as I always do I had to take to my bed. Rather poorly with a tummy complaint I have :(...I would definitely have preferred crafting...eeeewwww!!!!!

So for this lovely colour combo I chose papers from Basic Grey 'Offbeat' and 'Indian Summer'
I chose a great sketch from Sketch Saturday, always a good starting point.
The great image is a download from Bee Crafty
I coloured in with PM's Pumpkin, Berry Red, Canary, Emerald, Raw Sienna and Cool Grey.
The ribbon is SU 'Tempting Turquoise'
The tag, brads, base card and gem flowers from my stash.

Off to catch up on todays>>>>>>>>>

Patriotic

This has been a great weekend for all things Red, White & Blue in the blog world.
I have a combo of 4 challenges to cover this card as follows:-
Sketch Saturday #58 - a brilliant sketch & to feature Red, White & Blue
Penny Black Saturday wk 56 - Also Red, White & Blue
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #39
- 3 Ribbons
Charysma Cardz Thursday - Buttons

As you can see I acheived the R, W & B with the base card, Doodlebug striped paper, downloaded red & white check paper and various blooms.
The 3 pieces of R, W & B ribbon were out of my bits box
The Penny Black stamp is 'Burst of Stars' which is very appropriate and I used Adirondack Red Pepper ink pad.
The brads and 2 buttons were out of my stash.
The Best Wishes sentiment was a freebie with a magazine years ago.

I have enjoyed making these last 2 cards as it is so good to get away from pink and green.
And the Union Jack flag being Red, White & Blue I feel very patriotic too.

Secret Garden

This is a combo for Sketch Saturday #55 , Crafty Creations Wednesday #20...'How does your garden grow?' and Chocoholics Challenge on the forum...'Something that flies'
Tilda was coloured with ProMarkers and sat inside the waste of a scalloped oval Nestie.
Kay & Co paper was cut around the lilac so that it looked as if it is falling over the frame.
The base card is Bazzill and the dragonfly was cut from a sheet of Kay & Co and mounted on dimensionals and the sticky flowers are Kay & Co to match the paper.
The sentiment is by Bo Bunny Press
I added flat backed 'bling' to the dragonfly's body and to the centre of the flower to give it a bit of sparkle.

Sketch Saturday & Basic Grey catch up

Forgive my lack of blogging and cardmaking friends....for some reason I have been unable to put my mind to anything for the last couple of days.....call it brain fug.
So this has been a rush to try and get this done in time. It was a great sketch from Sketch Saturday #49 and really wanted to do this....the brilliant colour theme was over on Basic Grey challenge 33 Lack, Grey +1....mine being lime green.
All items were misc. from my stash apart from the lime card which is Bazzill, the Black card which is core'dination with the lime core which I embossed in my 'bug' using a Fiskars texture plate 'leaves' and the grey paper which is appropriately Basic Grey. PM's were used to colour the Celtic cat image which has been heat embossed in silver.
I have so many cards I want to do and my mind is all abuzz, but I will be out at Port Sunlight tomorrow for the fabulous Happy Stampers North West which is a fantastic biannual show.

4 into 1 will go.......

Set myself a challenge to see how many challenges could be incorporated into one card. Managed 4 which is a record for me. Don't know whether this is allowed but I'm sure someone will say if it isn't.
The sketch is from Sketch Saturday being #47 which is too late anyway...great sketch.
The themes are '3 shapes' over on Penny Black Saturday week 47...those being the square, the rectangle and the circle plus the required Penny Black stamp on the die-cut circle.
'Mirror Mirror' over at Cute Card Thursday requiring something shiney...which is the silver card which I embossed with a 'Bug' folder and cut out portions to use as sentiments + the Jewel.

As usual the scan has bleached out the lovely colour of the flower stamped onto the die cut circle :-(

Large flower stamped image - Penny Black ' Burst of Stars'
Jewel - Doodlebug
Papers - Basic Grey 'Lilykate'
Base card and silver card from my stash

This Little Piggy.......

...Messed be about good and proper.
This was a great sketch over at Sketch Saturday, being #41 Ria's Week, sponsored by Funky Fairy's Papercrafts.
Really enjoy doing sketches as it takes a lot of the brain drain out of making a card and only leaves you with choosing the elements to use.
Which were........Green card by Bazzill, Stamped image Penny Black, Papers by Laura Ashley, loving those, and flowers by Prima. The butterflies were cut from the Laura Ashley paper too and mounted on a Glue Dot with wings a-flutter. Cream card, gems and pearls out of my stash....and the sentiment I typed up myself on Word.
So, you are wondering, where was the messing about. Well it was trying to scan or photo it. I am stuck for choice which image to upload the over bright scan or the dull and squiffy photo - no sun and it kept blowing in the wind.
I'll choose the scan and be damned. LOL!!

Butterfly Friend

Still catching up and this one is for Sketch Saturday #40 sponsored by The Craft Barn which was a great sketch with lots of thought needed. With so many papers going on I decided on a rather plain butterfly stamped image that I had in my stash of swaps, it looks as though it has been stamped in irridescent ink, maybe Brilliance. The papers were from a pad of K & Co. 'Roam' and the brown card is Basic Grey. The sentiment is Bo-Bunny Press. The flat backed pearls from my stash. Well at 1 minute past midnight I think it is time to call it a day. :-)

Animal Magic

I took the opportunity to combine two challenges in this card. The sketch was taken from Sketch Saturday #39 sponsored by Emma Lockley and the theme of Animal Magic was for Cute Card Thursday #49 sponsored by Craftaway.
The stamp used was by Penny Black, watercoloured with Marvy Le Plume pens. Oddments of Bazzill Basic cardstock and embellishments out of my stash along with Basic Grey paper were used to finish it off. I love to be able to use minute pieces of cardstock which I never throw away and I feel a greater sense of achievemant if I do so.

Sketch Saturday #37

Another great sketch and enjoyed deciding what colours I was going to use after doing an all white card for the forum challenge. [after up-loading realised I had chosen the colours of the sketch...how spooky]
The papers used were K & Co Tim Coffey 'Travel/Vacation' which I overstamped with 'wishes take flight' stamp by Stampendous in Rust Adirondack...as always...lol!! and the floral sheet was from K & Co 'Roam'pad., which was attached with 4 velvet brads from my stash. The embelishment was K & Co K-Ology Grand Adhesions mounted on 2 scalloped circles cut and embossed using my 'Bug'. Pearl gems were added for extra decoration.

Sketch Saturday # 36

At last I think I've sussed how to do all the links for these challenges. Please forgive me if I've messed up. :-)
This was a taxing sketch and took a long while and plenty of grey cell activity. I just wish I could combine different colours and not play safe .
Everything used is oddments out of my stash and an image from a swap. The delicate watercolouring has been bleached by the scan unfortunately.
