3 into 1 will go!

I decided today that the only way I am going to catch up over at 365 Cards is to do 1 card to cover as many challenges as possible. So this card knocks off 3 of the challenges.
Day 232 - Super Sketchy Sunday - Given Sketch
Day 240 - Pin Up!...to add a pin and beads or safety pin
Day 241 - Put it on the List...A list to replace the sentiment.

Day 241 is the only one that is loosely interpreted. My list is the poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning ~ 'How do I love thee, Let me count the ways'...and then she goes on to LIST them. So hopefully this will pass.
Ingredients used.
Base card - Bazzill Bling
Papers - Linda Maron
Scalloped edgings, ribbon, Pearl Hat pin, gems from my stash.
Crafters chalk to smoosh around the edge of the scalloped card which was but through my 'Bug'
The poem was printed out using Word....phew just a couple behind now!

Apologies, as usual, for the poor scan, but you are used to me by now. :D

365 Cards 225 & 226

A bit of a catch up for me as yesterday I didn't make one card at all. My mojo went awol.
So I have been a good girl and caught up.
Day 225 - Super Sketchy Sunday and the start of Torendi Week

I thought the sketch hard and my card looks oh! so busy.
Used for this card:-
The scalloped border is by Bazzill
The spotty ribbon by Queen & Co
Snowflake rub-ons are Sew Easy by Doodlebug
The sentiment cut from a magazine as you can tell...lol!!
Card Candy 'Winter Wishes'
Everything else from my stash.

Day 226 - So......... The word SO to appear somewhere on the card
I loved this challenge and had the perfect stamp with 'So'on it
I got this stamp off eBay and use it for Easter cards.
Used for this card:-
Paper - Kay & Co Basic Grey 'Motifica'
Nestabilities Die cut Curved Rectangles
Coffee coloured card - DCWV
White card and satin ribbon from my stash
Versafine Onyx Black for stamping

I apologise for the squashed scan, this card looks quite lovely in real life with the bow in all it's glory.

Bit of a catch-up

I was soooo tired over the weekend with getting up at 5 on Sat & Sun to watch F1 and also having a geriatric cat that walks all over my face in the early hours because he's confused and thinks he needs food, I've only managed one card over the whole 2 days.
So here is one card done today to cover several challenges and I will be uploading another when it's completed.
This card is for challenges :-
365 Cards Day 218 - Super Sketchy Sunday
ABC - Embossing
Roses On Paper 22 - Any sketch + Orange, Brown & Green Plus image from list. I have chosen Magnolia
This is how the card should have been for the Roses On Paper Challenge...my apologies for forgetting the image...more haste, less speed and all that!

Papers are from Basic Grey pads, 'June Bug' and Indian Summer'
Ribbon is American Crafts
I used my 'Bug' to emboss the Bazzill with 'Swiss Dots' and 'Swirls' folders
The tag is saved from a bunch of incense sticks
Leaf embellishment from my stash

Once Upon a Time....

365 Cards Day 202 - 'Once Upon A Time...' to draw inspiration for a card from a Fairy Tale you love.
Mine being Red Riding Hood.
I used my fabulous red Stardream card from Joanna Sheen for the base
I used papers from my brand new Basic Grey pad 'Indian Summer' it's so lush.
The white scalloped edge is by Bazzill and reminded me of the wolf's teeth.
The sentiment is by Reminisce.
I thought this would also do for Stamptacular Sunday 24 so used their sketch, but think I may need to stamp something for that challenge so this doesn't fit after all.

I Miss You

365 Cards Day 200 (Would you believe!) - It's what's inside that counts....in a nutshell the sentiment has to be on the inside while the image on the front conveys that sentiment without words.
I had just the perfect stamp for this
Stamp's Happen- Patience Brewster- 'Thinking of You'
I coloured the image with a mix of PM's, Copics and patience.
The base card is Bazzill
The sentiment inside is stamped with a SeeD's set 'Handwriting alpha'
Papers Basic Grey 'Eva'
Versafine Onyx Black used for stamping
Buttons and white card pieces from my stash

This card turned out better than anticipated, but don't know what on earth I would have done had I not had that stamp.

You're Sweet

A fabulous sketch over at CCEE and a lovely colour combo over at Passion for Promarakers 16, so I had to combine the two.
The colours of the PM's to be used this week were Sandstone & Blue Pearl a lovely duo. I also used Blossom/Rose Pink/Cool Grey 1/Cinnamon and Cornflower for depth (I hope) I'm not the greatest colourist.
The lovely image was sent to me by our Secret Fairy Godmother on the forum, she's good like that :)...she blesses peeps over and over.
The papers used were from the 6 x 6 pad from Kay & Co 'Hydrangea Stripe' which picked up the colours beautifully. The base card and die cut circles were cut from Bazzill, the sentiment stamp, the gems and ribbon from my stash.
I just love these colours together I'm going to have to make another.

Well that was lucky....while I was in the middle of this the electricity cut out and I thought I had lost it all. Well done Blogger for saving it all. I think I have a dodgy microwave oven, well it is one of the originals from the 70's...do you think I need to replace it? ...lol!!!

Never Felt Better!

Very windy weather here albeit a bit sunny and I think it may have blown a few cobwebs away from my mind as I have managed to combine 3 challenges into this one card today.
365 Cards Day 188 - Touchy Feely Friday ~ to use felt or flocking
Charisma Cardz Thursday #35 - Swirls, Curls and an extra element of hearts
Allsorts Challenge wk 16 - No Rubber Stamping whatsoever.

I had this wonderful pack of large square felt swirls of flowers by Prima for Christmas and am over the moon to have the perfect chance to try one out. I cut a portion of it to fit the Bazzill card base and also to leave a space for the sentiment which was a velvet puffy alpha. by Papercrafts4You. I also used some black peel-offs from the archives to add extra sentiments around the swirls.....you know it makes sense to use these up...lol!!
The white felt flowers which I added to the top of some of the black flowers are 'Flower Frenzy' by Queen & Co.
Lots of gems and bling were scattered here and there, and it was hard to know when to stop. On the word JOY I have added 3 little gem hearts to fit in with the Charisma challenge.
So there we are Felt, Swirls & Hearts and definitely No Stamping - so 3 x job done.
Thanks for stopping by. :)

Masking to my Heart's Content

365 Cards - Day 163 Try a Technique: Masking

Oh! I was excited by this because it MADE me dust off a stamp I bought about 5 years ago and have never used, I know, I'm ashamed!
It is a stamp by Clarity called Abstractart and is brilliant for masking...well it's made for it.
All the stamps bar a couple of little Hero Arts flowers are Clarity also...I used to collect them, and still would if I had the money. Barbara Santerelli, as she was then, was my all time fave. Designer
I stamped the large frame stamp in Versafine Onyx Black and then masked off every little area in turn with Post-It notes and stamped different flowers, butterflies and some of the leaves into all the areas.
I then coloured them with a mix of PM's and Copics.
Then I went over the veins in the butterflies wings and the antenna with a Quickie glue pen and sprinkled over Stampendous Ultra Fine Crystal glitter....remembering it is Art Glitter Week.
Then a Making Memories Page Pebble was added to the magnifying glass for a lens.
The sentiment stamp also by Clarity was stamped in Versafine also
Matted and layered onto a buttery yellow piece of Bazzill and then finally mounted onto a chocolate brown DL card.
A piece of satin ribbon and 2 Doodlebug gems finished it off.

So Far Today..............

I have made 2 cards.
The first one is for Passion for Promarkers week 11 with a given sketch and we could use any colour.

The image - Winnie Owl from Willow Designs

Copics used : Lime Green, skin white and orange
Stickles used for the bee's wings - 'Icicle'

Unfortunatel the whole thing has been spoilt by the awful green ink used for the Birthday Sentiment...didn't look that bad in real life.

This was a great sketch and quick to do.
Base card - Bazzill

365 Cards - Day 141

Super Sketchy Sunday today and here is the sketch.
This was lovely and painless.
Feeling below par atm, like the golf I'm watching. lol!!

But as I type this the sun is starting to shine which makes a blessed relief from the amount of rain we have had lately, so much for our summer!!!
Anyway, I digress....the starting point for this card was the Nestie die cut scalloped oval in two sizes....the only two left in my box of spares. So that shade of pink dictated the rest of the card.
The Card stock is Bazzill Basics, not sure of the shade. The pp's are HOTP, years old, but I throw nothing away, so sometimes you may think my cards look a little dated, lol!! , but I care not a jot. :)
I trimmed the top piece of paper with my Fiskars scalloped border punch 'Threading Water' and forgot to do the bottom piece...doh!!
All pieces had their corners rounded with a corner rounder punch, no less. I added the sentiment by Clarity Stamps inking with Adirondack 'Cranberry'. 2 little flat backed jewels by Papermania were added to the dots on the 'i's'..ribbon from my stash and to finish it off I added two little mulberry flowers, pulling the stems through the knot of the ribbon.
The start of another great week at 365 Cards.

I'm in a Bind!

365 Cards - Day 137
To bind two pieces of something (card, plastic etc) to create a card.

I chose to use my Fiskars hole punch and to use spotty paper as it is easier to space the holes.
Pink Bazzill Basics card topped by misc. magazine freebie pink spotty paper, punched through and tied using metallic thread by Madeira No10 Color 0313
I used a piece of Anita's sticky backed ribbon to cover the join and added two cardboard embelishments by Making Memories to finish it off.
