Life is Sweet

Well I feel a bit better about my cardmaking today, maybe because the sun shone for a while and unseasonably warm too...lovely!!!
So today for 365 Cards Day 192 - So Sweet - the card is to have the word sweet on it and The Cuttlebug Spot 47 - 'It's for the Birds' to feature a bird.
Even though it's summery I felt autumny colours coming on.
The card base is kraft card by Lakeland.
The paper with the birdie is a great free download from DoCrafts - http://www.docrafts.co.uk/. I pierced around the edges and drew a pen along the holes to look like stitching.
I embossed a piece of lovely orange card in my Bug and cut the edge with my new Fiskars border punch 'Apron Lace' which I had for my birthday off a dear crafty buddy.
The sentiment stamp was inked with Adirondack 'Raisin' but surprisingly bled into the paper, it makes it just look more rustic.
A piece of Anita's sticky ribbon across the top and 3 buttons from my mum's tin with embroidery floss through the holes finished it off.
Job done!

Sunflowers

365 Cards Day 157 - Imagine this: Sunflowers

The card didn't have to be of sunflowers but inspired by them.
Well I had no inspiration in my bones at all today.
Therefore I have done sunflowers, or rather a likeness!

I have kept it clean and simple.

Ingredients:-

Stamp - Hero Arts 'Showy Blossom'
Inks - Dauber Duos in brown/yellow/green and Versamark Black Onyx
Sentiment stamp - Whispers by DoCraft...just inked up half of it
Base card, coloured card, ribbon and paper piece from my stash

Ready, Steady, Cook.........

This was the theme at Daring Cardmakers Friday Challenge, so for the recipe the ingredients were:- 3 different papers, at least 1 pce of chipboard, at least 1 button, at least 1 ribbon with an optional extra being an item of your choice.
I enjoyed this as there is nothing to follow only your own imagination. Sometimes not good.
The 3 papers were 2 by CMYK Scrapbook Printdirect in natural + 1 piece of misc. leftover from a 12 x 12 sheet. 2 chipboard brackets by Papermania, 2 buttons from my mum's button tin, and a piece of misc. ribbon threaded through both the buttons. My choice of extra item was a stamped greeting from a stamp by Docrafts in Adirondack Cranberry. Not that happy with it as I want more on it somewhere. :-D

Polka Dot & Pink

This was the theme for Card Sketch A Day challenge #181. Found this quite a challenge and to get the best from it I suggest you view it at an angle. Watching the Ireland/England Rugby did nothing for my placing. lol!!
The Polka Dot paper is by Doodlebug Designs, spotty paper by Kay & Co., Tim Coffey 'Young Girl', the brads from Queen & Co., sticky ribbon by DoCraft and the sentiment from Bo Bunny. Everything else is from my stash.

Eyelets

Forum buddy Chocoholic set for this weeks Friday Challenge the theme of 'eyelets' and as the dust on my box of eyelets resembled a duvet thought it a brilliant idea to dust them off and remember how hard it is for me to use my Silent Setter.
The circular one was done using a cd to draw the circle around in soft pencil, flowers were punched out from scrap...waste nothing, me..... and were set equally spaced around the circle. The soft pencil lines can then be rubbed away. Eyelets were set in the centre of each flower and any suitable embellishment or sentiment can be used in the centre.
The 2nd card was made using all old stash. Kay & Co papers, Penny Black image from a swap and the sentiment stamp is by DoCrafts.
